From 1 to 15 September

A newsletter that collects the main propaganda of Jihadist organizations and groups, from 1 to 15 September in one publication.

Propaganda will be divided by the respective groups (taking into account affiliations and alliances), from the largest to the smallest, up to independent groups.

Al-Qaeda (AQ)

As-Sahab Media, al-Qaeda Central (#AQC), on the anniversary of #9/11 issued an eight-page statement entitled: “The Day of Criterion, the Day When the Two Forces Met. Between the First Criterion on the Day of "Badr" and the Criterion of the Age on the Day of September”.

Al-Qaeda Central released a 42-minute video of Al-Zawahiri as the 7th part of its “Deal of the Century” series.

As-Sahab Media, al-Qaeda Central (AQC) released the English edition of One Ummah Magazine - Issue 04.

As-Sahab Media (Central Command of al-Qaeda / AQC) released the book by Abu Muhammad al-Masri (killed in Iran in 2020) entitled: “The 9/11 operations between facts and uncertainties”.

Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) released several claims of attacks in Abyan governorate against the Security Belt Force and in Shabwa governorate against the Shabwa Defence Forces.

Az-Zallaqa Media, Jama'at Nasr al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM) issued a statement claiming attacks against the Malian army and Wagner's Russian mercenaries in rural mucipality of Macina, Malian Police in Sikasso region and Malian army forces and MINUSMA forces in the Tombouctou region.

Az-Zallaqa Media, Jama'at Nasr al-Islam wal Muslimin ( JNIM ) released an infographic summarising all operations conducted as of August 2022. Main target the Russian mercenaries Wagner.

Az-Zallaqa Media, Jama'at Nasr al-Islam wal Muslimin ( JNIM ) released an approximately 9-minute propaganda video showing attacks conducted against a gendarmerie detachment between Ouagadougou and Dori in Burkina Faso.

Al-Malahem Media, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) released a 3 min. video entitled: “Appeal from director of the United Nations Office of Security and Safety in Yemen”. Akam Sofyol Anam, UN security coordination officer, was abducted in #Aden, Yemen, in Feb. 2022.

Al-Shabaab’s official media channel, al-Kataib, continued the publication of two series of propaganda videos: “They are the enemy, so beware of them”, episodes 9 to 13 and “Relief campaign for drought-affected populations in Islamic states” episodes 5 to 8.

From 1 to 15 September, al-Shabaab claimed numerous attacks, between the Ethiopian-Somali borders, in Mandera County in Kenya and in the states of Mogadishu, Lower, Middle and Central Shabelle , Hiran, Bay , Juba, in Somalia.

Pro-AQ, Anaziat Foundation, released the first issue of its new magazine.It has over 57 pages. Good quality. It is a “jihadist magazine dealing with the disputes of the Ummah”. It features several editorials. Quotes from the most important jihadist ideologues.

Islamic State (IS)

The Al-Furqan Foundation of the Islamic State (IS) released a 36-minute audio with the speech of official spokesman Sheikh Abi Omar Al-Muhajir entitled: “And hold on to the rope of God all together, and do not divide”. For details on the Islamic State audio you can read here.

The Islamic State published three issues of its weekly al-Naba (354/355/356). The provinces in which IS claimed to have operated are: West Africa (ISWAP), Iraq, Sham (Syria), Democratic Republic of Congo (ISCAP), Khurasan (ISKP) and Mozambique (IS-MOZ), Sinai (Egypt), Mali and Benin (IS-Sahel) and Somalia. In total, the Islamic State claimed 122 military operations. In-depth infographics regarding ISCAP and IS-MOZ were also published within the issues.

Pro-IS, Al-Azaim Foundation of Islamic State Khurasan, announces the release of issue 13 of the English-language magazine "Voice of Khurasan". One of the most important editorials was the call for Indian Muslims to join the Islamic State.

Pro Islamic State Khurasan Province (ISKP), al-Azaim Foundation, published issue 9 of Khurasan Ghag Magazine.

The Palestinian jihadist group in Gaza, loyal to the Islamic State, Brigade al-Sheikh Omar Hadid, published a short video of the rocket attacks on Israeli territory that took place in May 2021 and a statement calling on Palestinians to join them and start fighting against Israel and internal enemies (alluding to Hamas and others) who persecute radical jihadists, killing and burning them, both in Gaza and on the western bank of the Jordan River. The militants claim they have awoken from their slumber and do not want to stand by and watch.

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS)

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) fighters targeted Syrian army checkpoints (SPG-9) in Jabal Abu Ali in Latakia. Artillery regiments of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) attacked Syrian pro-government militias in the north-western countryside of Hama. Syria

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) released training photos of its fighters from its military brigades. Syria

The “Zubair bin Awam Brigade” of HTS released a photo report of its fighters fortifying Ribat points on the front line. Idlib, Syria

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) released photos of the graduation of the course in the use of thermal and night visors by the fighters of one of its military brigades. Idlib, Syria.

“Al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room” released photos of its fighters operating in the Saraqib axis, east of Idlib and the Turkmen axis, north of Latakia. Syria

Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) released an infographic on the military operations conducted from 3 to 9 September. Syria

Independent Jihadist organizations and groups

Ansar al-Tawhid released a 45-second video showing the various artillery and mortar operations conducted in the Idlib governorate.

Ansar al-Tawhid released photos claimed two attacks in Idlib governorate against the Syrian army. Syria

Al-Ansar Media of Ansar al-Islam (AAI) released several claims of artillery attacks against defence positions of Syrian pro-government militias and Russian soldiers in the al-Ghab plain and Jabal al-Akrad in Syria.

Katibat al-Tavhid vo Jihad Uzbek (KTJ), HTS aligned, released photos of its snipers who are fighting against the Syrian army on the fronts of Jabal al-Zawiya in southern Idlib. Syria.

Katibat Mujaheddin Ghuraba Division (Quvvat Ghuroba), a small jihadist group composed of Uzbeks, Tajiks and Uyghurs, published photos of its fighters building new Ribat points in the northern areas of Aleppo. Syria

Liwa al-Muhajireen wal-Ansar Brigade (LMA), HTS aligned, released photos of its fighters in positions in Ribat. Syria

HTS-aligned “Harakat Muhajirin Ahl-Sunnat Iran” published a set of photos of its sniper training in Idlib. Syria

Jihadist Contractor Groups

Yurtugh Tactical - Turkestan Mujahideen, Turkestan Islamic Party aligned, released photos and two training videos for tactical reloading and rapid ammunition replacement.

Yurtugh Tactical (Jihadist contractor) - Turkestan Mujahideen (TIP-aligned) has released some images of its training activities.

Albanian Tactical, Xhemati Alban aligned, posted numerous photos of its fighters. He also disseminated photos and contacts for the sale of weapons and equipment. Syria
