Sources and Methodology: monitoring, study and analysis of primary and direct sources of propaganda from Salafi-jihadist organisations and groups (videos, photos, statements, claims). The study utilises OSINT, SOCMINT and Digital HUMINT sources.
Verification and Limitations: This analysis of propaganda does not require verification and has no limitations, as it comprehensively presents only the propaganda published by organisations and groups, highlighting language, structure, type, and objectives.

Individual organisations will break down the propaganda:
In the case of al-Qaeda (AQ) and the Islamic State (IS), the central leadership, official branches and provinces will be included.
Then, independent jihadist groups, which have alliances and relations with other jihadist groups but which have independent operations and propaganda, will be included.
Finally, there are the jihadist tactical groups.

Al-Qaeda (AQ)
Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) has released a 36-second video claiming responsibility for and showing an attack by its snipers against commanders of the Shabwa Defence Forces.

Az-Zallaqa Media, Jama’at Nasr al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM), released a photo report to showcase its advocacy and da’wah activities in the Timbuktu and Douentza areas. Mali
Az-Zallaqa Media, Jama’at Nasr al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM), issued 12 statements and 14 photos, claiming 18 attacks.
The targets of the attacks were: the Malian Army, the Dozo militia, the Russian PMC Africa Corps, the Burkinabé Army, the VDP militia, and the Nigerian Army.
The areas of the attacks were :
1) Koulikoro region, Kidal region, Sikasso region; in Mali.
2) Koulpélogo province, Yatenga province, Mouhoun province, Gourma province, Séno province, Sissili province; in Burkina Faso.
3) Duruma area, Kwara State; in Nigeria.

Az-Zallaqa Media, Jama’at Nasr al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM) has released a video showing the results of an attack carried out against the Nigerian army in Duruma, Kwara State. The video shows the bodies of several Nigerian soldiers killed, as well as significant quantities of weapons and vehicles captured. A fighter speaking in Arabic describes the Nigerian army as “tyrants who attack innocent people”. Nigeria
Al-Kataib Media, Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahidin, has issued a statement strongly rejecting accusations by American farmers that Somalis living in Minnesota are funding jihadists. Al-Shabaab claims that these accusations are aimed at discrediting the entire Somali community and portraying it as a threat.
Al-Shabaab claims that there has been a sharp increase in hostility, discrimination and hate propaganda against Somalis by the US government, including President Donald Trump.
The Somali jihadist organisation claims that these accusations are being used by the US government to divert attention from the political disasters and major problems facing the Trump administration.
Harakat Al-Shabaab al-Mujahidin (AS) has published a photo reportage showing the results of an IED attack against a convoy of Somali special forces “Danab” in the Lower Shabelle region. Somalia

Islamic State (IS)
The official media of the Islamic State published 1 issue of the weekly al-Naba this week (523). Issue 523, eight pages long, covers the week of 29 Jumada al-Awwal al 5 Jumada al-Thani 1447, from 20 to 26 November 2025. The main infographic summarises the areas affected by military operations during the week mentioned above: Nigeria, Syria, Mozambique, Afghanistan, Somalia and the Democratic Republic of Congo. IS claims to have conducted 16 operations in all the mentioned areas and to have caused 57 deaths and injuries (for more details, read here).
In this issue of al-Naba (523), the Islamic State published an infographic showing the results of ISWAP attacks over the last three months in Nigeria, Cameroon and Niger. ISWAP claims to have carried out 77 attacks, resulting in 234 deaths and injuries.

Independent Jihadist Groups
Ittehad-ul-Mujahideen Pakistan (IMP), a Pakistani jihadist organisation comprising the Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group (HBG), Lashkar-e-Islam and Harkat Inqilab-e-Islami Pakistan (HIIP), has released a video claiming responsibility for and showing a major suicide attack against a Frontier Corps base in the district of Bannu.
