In the case of al-Qaeda (AQ) and the Islamic State (IS), the central leadership, official branches and provinces will be included.
Then, independent jihadist groups, which have alliances and relations with other jihadist groups but which have independent operations and propaganda, will be included.
Finally, there are the jihadist tactical groups.

Islamic State (IS)
The official media of the Islamic State published the weekly al-Naba. Issue 502, eight pages long, covers the week of 1 to 7 Muharram, from 26 June to 2 July 2025. he main infographic summarises the areas affected by military operations during the week mentioned above: Somalia, Nigeria, Syria, Mozambique, Pakistan, Cameroon, and Niger.
IS claims to have conducted 16 operations in all the mentioned areas and to have caused 92 deaths and injuries (for more details read here).

Umar Media, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), published its usual infographic summarising the attacks conducted in the previous month. For the month of June, the TTP claimed 307 attacks. This is the second month that TTP attacks have exceeded 300. Pakistan
The Syrian jihadist Salafist group Saraya Ansar al-Sunnah released two lengthy statements threatening Alawites, Christians, and the new Syrian al-Sharaa government: “Know that what is coming is harsher, harsher, more terrible, and more bitter. Your blood will flow like a torrential flood, and the message of Mar Elias is the first lesson in a series of calamities that will sweep you all away”.
The group claims that they will continue the armed struggle until “your forced expulsion from our pure land takes place”. Syria
