Since 2016, within the Syrian jihadist landscape, tactical groups (mainly composed of foreign jihadi militants) have emerged as a major novelty with the stated aim of providing advice, Military training and interventions in some military operations to Syrian and global jihadist groups, in presence and remotely (online). In the latter case, all the tactical groups that I will mention had strong importance in the military training of foreign jihadist groups present in Syria and also for the brigades of HTS. They also played an important role in the military operation - "Deterring Aggression", launched on 27 November 2024 by the coalition formed by Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and rebel and opposition factions, which eventually led to the overthrow of the Assad regime in December 2024.
Among the first and most well-known foreign battle groups to emerge in Syria was Malhama Tactical, a group founded in 2015 composed of immigrants from Russian territories and Central Asian countries (Chechnya, Daghestan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan), which was initially mistakenly considered as a group of contractors, then like mercenaries or private companies, minimizing their ideological importance and real motivations. After Malhama Tactical, other jihadist tactical groups have emerged, which over time also began to collaborate with each other, and today, the following tactical groups are active on Syrian territory, which are the subject of this analysis:
1) Malhama Tactical;
2) Yurtugh Tactical;
3) Albanian Tactical;
4) Muhojir Tactical;
5) Fursan Tactical;
6) Musafeer Tacitcal;
7) FSM1453 Tactical;
8) Tactical Omair;
9) Tacmed Sham.
The aim of this analysis is only to show their propaganda, with photos and activities, not to explain the importance and composition of these groups, which will be the subject of separate analyses.
